Admission & Graduation
I. ADMISSON |
A. Procedure of Admission |
1.The Committee of Admission and Graduation shall announce the interview schedule at the end of each semester. 2.The Committee shall collect the documents required for admission from students one(1) day prior to the interview through the office of the College. 3.The Applicants must take tests regarding their Bible Knowledge and English Proficiency before their interview with the Committee. 4.Assessments shall take place immediately after the end of interview, followed by the official announcement of decision written/attached on the board of the College through the secretary of the Committee. |
B. Qualification of Admission |
Admission into the ANTS program is for the people who meet the following conditions: 1. The applicant for 2 years ‘Ordinary Certificate’ must have completed (a) Senior Four (S4, ‘O’ level) with at least 3 passes in UCE (Uganda Certificate of Education) obtained at the same sitting. 2. The applicant for 2 years ‘Ordinary Diploma’ must have completed (a) Senior for (S4, ‘O’ level) with minimum 5 passes in UCE and (b) Senior six (S6, ‘A’ level) with minimum 1 principal pass and 2 subsidiary passes in UACE (Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent. (c) or a Certificate Programme in ANTS. 3. Students admitted without the minimum entry requirements as per NCHE can only receive an award of Certificate of Attendance in Biblical Studies. 4. The applicant must be active in some form of local church or Christian ministry. |
C. Requirements for Admission |
All applicants need to include the following documents/information when making a full application. 1. Application form – obtainable from ANTS office. 2. Testimony of his/her Christian conversion and experiences. 3. Two passport-sized photographs to be attached to the application form. 4. Recommendation letters – this should be made by his/her senior pastor in the church they attend. 5. Original and photocopies of education (academic) certificates with transcripts, which must be equated by UNEB (Uganda National Examination Board) in case of international students. (This equating fee will be deducted from school fees) 6. Written Tests of ‘Bible Knowledge’ and ‘English Proficiency’. 7. A valid National Identity Card (ID) OR Passport. 8. All international students must present their certificate of entry or VISA and at the very day of their arrival EACH SEMESTER. If they don’t, their enrollment will not be allowed. 9. Fill the medical History Form – obtainable from ANTS office. |
D. Denial of admission |
ANTS reserves the right to deny any applicant’s admission into the program as a result of interview and the test regarding Bible Knowledge and English Proficiency. |
E. Provisional admission |
ANTS may give a temporary admission to the applicant who has some deficiencies in requirements of admission. |
Ⅱ GRADUATION |
A. Procedures of Graduation |
1. The Committee shall have a meeting to assess all candidates for graduation after the end of their final semester along with their transcripts which shall be prepared by the registrar. 2. The Committee shall determine the day of graduation considering the academic schedule of the College. 3. The Committee shall inform the result of assessment and the date of graduation ceremony to all candidates of graduation. |
B. Requirements of Graduation |
1. Semesters and credits Students must finish semesters and get credits suggested as below. If students do not earn the suggested credits, their graduation will be delayed until they get the lacking credits. (1) Certificate – ANTS provides a Certificate when the student has completed four(4) semesters with minimum credits (at least 80). (2) Diploma – ANTS provides a Diploma when the student has completed four(4) semesters with minimum credits (at least 72). 2. Bible Knowledge Test Students have to pass ‘Bible Knowledge Test’ three(3) out of four(4) times during four(4) semesters. One(1) year requires one(1) “Pass” during two(2) semesters. |
